INTERMEDIATE SPANISH AND FRENCH

Course Overview
This is a fun, engaging, and interactive 4 sessions Spanish course designed to build a foundation for bilingualism to better prepare children for future success. Lessons introduce basic Spanish communication skills such as the exchange of simple greetings, answering questions about self and family, asking for information or directions, and the use of appropriate body language and gestures to supplement spoken words. Lessons are taught through a journey 'visiting' different Spanish speaking countries! Students will learn many topics such as how to express personal feelings and opinions (in present tense), numbers, seasons, weather, and much more (see sample topics below). Music, food, and dances will be introduced. Homework will be assigned weekly.
This course may be taken individually or as a group. Target Grade: 5-8.

4. Conversaciones Sobre Deportes, Musica y Comida (Talking about Sports, Music, and Food)
5. Que Hora Es? (Telling Time); El Tiempo (The Weather); Conversaciones Sobre La Hora (Phrases to Tell Time)
6. Frases Utiles y Comunes Para Hacer Amigos (Common Phrases when making friends); Frases Utiles y Comunes Para Ordenar Comida en Restaurantes (Phrases When Ordering Food in Restaurants)
7. Conversaciones Sobre Clases y Eventos Que Ocurren en Sequencia; Estar a Tiempo, Estar Tarde, o Estar de Prisa
(Talking About Classes and sequencing events; Talking About at what time something happens, being late, or in a hurry)
